Kakobuy QC Guide
How to Review Your Photos
When your item arrives at Kakobuy's warehouse, they photograph it and send you quality check (QC) photos. This guide tells you exactly what to look for โ and when to approve or reject.
What are QC photos?
QC (Quality Check) photos are photographs taken by Kakobuy warehouse staff when your item arrives from the seller. Kakobuy provides 8โ15 photos showing multiple angles of the item. You review them and either Approve (proceed to international shipping) or Reject (return to seller for refund or replacement).
This step is one of Kakobuy's most valuable features โ it lets you inspect the item before committing to international shipping costs. Never skip QC review.
{callout("tip", TIP_SVG, "Request more photos if needed", "If the standard 8 photos don't show a specific detail you want to check, you can request additional shots via the QC comments field. Most agents complete extra photo requests within 24 hours.")}What to check โ shoes & sneakers
- Toe box shape โ compare against the retail shape; look for collapsing, creasing or asymmetry
- Sole curvature โ the outsole should match the retail profile; flat soles on curved-sole designs are a red flag
- Logo placement โ check Swoosh angle, text alignment, and stitching around logo patches
- Heel counter โ should be firm and symmetrical; floppy heel = poor construction
- Lace holes โ even spacing, clean stitching, no fraying
- Size tag & insole โ confirm the correct size was sent; check font on size tags
- Box & extras โ receipt, tags, dust bags should match retail packaging where applicable
What to check โ clothing
- Stitching quality โ run your eye along seams; uneven or loose stitching indicates low quality
- Print/embroidery alignment โ logos should be centred and correctly positioned relative to the neckline
- Fabric weight โ ask for a "feel" comment from the agent if weight matters to you
- Tags โ wash care label, brand tag and size label should all be present and correctly printed
- Colour accuracy โ compare against the listing photos; monitor calibration affects this so use a second reference image
What to check โ bags
- Hardware โ zips, clasps, buckles should open/close smoothly and have correct finish (gold-tone, silver-tone)
- Stitching density โ luxury bags have very tight, even stitching; check corners especially
- Interior lining โ check lining colour, logo pattern alignment and pocket stitching
- Embossing / logo stamp โ depth and clarity of any embossed logos on leather
- Straps โ check strap length symmetry and stitching at attachment points
Approve or reject?
Approve if: the item matches the listing photos, all details check out, sizing is correct and there are no visible defects.
Reject if: wrong size or colour sent, visible quality issues (broken stitching, warped soles, misaligned logos), or the item looks significantly different from the listing.
When you reject, Kakobuy returns the item to the seller and issues a refund to your wallet within 5โ10 business days. You can then re-order from a different seller.
