How to Use the Kakobuy Spreadsheet

Kakobuy is a buying agent — a middleman service that lets you purchase items from Chinese marketplaces (Weidian, Taobao, 1688) and have them shipped internationally. Chinese sellers on these platforms often don't ship abroad, which is where Kakobuy comes in.

You pay Kakobuy, they buy from the seller, inspect the item at their warehouse, and forward it to you. This is the standard "rep" (replica fashion) shopping model used by millions of buyers worldwide.

Go to kakobuy.com and click Sign Up in the top right corner. Fill in your email and choose a password. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account.

After signing up

Before placing your first order, add your shipping address under Account → Address Book. This saves time at checkout. You can add multiple addresses for different countries.

You have two main options for finding products on Kakobuy:

Option A — Use the Kakobuy spreadsheet (easiest)

Our Kakobuy spreadsheet lists thousands of popular items with direct purchase links already attached. Click any product and it takes you straight to the Kakobuy order page. This is the fastest route, especially for first-time buyers.

Option B — Search on Weidian / Taobao directly

For items not on the spreadsheet, you can search directly on Weidian (weidian.com) or Taobao (taobao.com). Use Google Translate or the built-in Kakobuy search to find listings. Copy the full URL of the product you want — you'll paste it into Kakobuy in the next step.

What platforms does Kakobuy support?

• Weidian — most popular for fashion reps, independent sellers
• Taobao — largest Chinese marketplace, huge product range
• 1688 — wholesale platform, very low prices, MOQ sometimes applies
• Kakobuy's own search — aggregates listings across platforms

Log in to Kakobuy and click Submit Order (or use the search bar if using a spreadsheet link). Paste the product URL and Kakobuy will automatically fetch the listing details.

What you pay at this stage

• Item price — the seller's price in RMB, converted to USD
• Domestic freight — cost to ship from seller to Kakobuy warehouse ($0.70–3.50)
• Service fee — 0–5% depending on item category (often 0%)

International shipping is not paid here — you pay that after the item arrives at the warehouse and you've seen the QC photos.

After you submit and pay, Kakobuy purchases the item from the seller. The seller then ships it via domestic courier (Cainiao, SF Express, etc.) to Kakobuy's warehouse in China. This typically takes 3–7 business days.

You can track the domestic shipment status on your Kakobuy order page. The status will update through:

• Purchasing — Kakobuy is placing the order with the seller
• Shipped domestically — seller has dispatched to the warehouse
• Arrived at warehouse — item is in Kakobuy's facility, QC begins

Once your item arrives at the warehouse, Kakobuy staff photograph it from multiple angles — typically 8–15 photos. You'll receive a notification (email + app) to review them. This is your chance to inspect quality before paying for international shipping.

What to look for in QC photos

• Check stitching quality and any visible defects
• Verify the correct size/colour was sent
• Inspect logos, tags and branding details
• Look at the soles, zips, hardware and packaging
• For shoes: check the toe box shape and heel construction

If you reject an item

Selecting Reject triggers a return to the seller. Kakobuy will issue a refund to your wallet once the return is processed (typically 5–10 business days). You can then re-order from a different seller. See our QC guide for a detailed walkthrough of what to check.

Once you approve the QC photos, go to your Warehouse tab, select the item(s) to ship, and choose a shipping line. Use our shipping guide or the calculator to compare rates.

Tips for this step

• If shipping multiple items, select them all before submitting — one parcel is cheaper than several
• Request rehearsal packaging to reduce box size and volumetric weight
• Add insurance for any order over $40 — it costs $1–3 and covers lost/damaged parcels

After submitting, your parcel is typically dispatched from the warehouse within 1–2 business days. You'll receive a tracking number by email and on your order page.

Typical delivery timeline

• DHL Express — 5–8 days to USA, 4–7 days to UK
• EMS — 10–18 days to USA, 10–16 days to UK
• Economy Line A — 15–25 days to USA
• Economy Line B — 25–40 days to USA

Customs and duties

Depending on your country and declared parcel value, you may be charged import duty or VAT. In the USA, parcels under $800 declared value typically clear customs duty-free. In the UK, orders over £135 may incur VAT. Kakobuy can adjust declared values on request — check their terms and your local customs rules.
