When to Reject Kakobuy QC Photos — A Buyer’s Decision Guide
QC rejection is your most powerful buyer protection — but most buyers don't use it correctly. Here's exactly when to approve and when to reject.
The QC step is where Kakobuy’s buyer protection is most powerful. Once you approve and the item ships internationally, your options narrow. This guide helps you make the right call every time.
Always reject — no exceptions
- Wrong item entirely — different model, different colourway, completely different product
- Wrong size — size tag in QC photos doesn’t match what you ordered
- Broken hardware — zipper doesn’t close, buckle is cracked, lace hole is torn
- Major visible defects — large scuffs, tears or stains visible in photos
- Missing accessories — box, dust bag or laces missing when listing included them
Usually reject — unless you’re OK with it
- Significantly off-centre logos — a Swoosh that’s visibly tilted
- Loose stitching — not just one thread but clearly poor construction
- Sole delamination — outsole already separating from midsole
- Collar padding asymmetry — one side noticeably thicker than the other
Request more photos before deciding
If the standard 8 photos don’t show what you need, request additional shots in the QC comments field. Common requests:
- “Please send a close-up of the left Swoosh from front”
- “Please send sole profile shot from the side”
- “Please show the size tag inside the shoe”
Always approve — non-issues the community sees regularly
- QC photos look dark — request better lighting, don’t reject
- Laces aren’t tied — not a defect
- Sole is slightly yellow — normal for stored white-soled shoes
- Minor glue residue on sole — can be cleaned
